“Tahini” in mediterranean, Thai, or kosher
sections of most supermarkets.Tahini is the key
ingredient in hummus.
It is sesame sees roasted and ground into paste
with sesame oil (like a nut butter).

 

They Taste like Halvah
A great substitute for peanut butter or other
nut butter cookies or in recipes calling for nut butter.

You will be amazed making these. Following are 2
choices of ingredients, for 30 cookies or 15. It’s so
quick and easy to make You can even make them
in microwave or oven.

honey, turmeric and a select few other substances, as
an easily accessible and affordable food-medicine that,
if consumed regularly, could quite possibly save lives.

METHOD:
Yes, you won’t believe your eyes when you

add the slightly beaten eggs,  the mixture
becomes dense, and looks as if there is
flour in the batter. But there isn’t!


How fast is that? That’s all there is to making them.

You simply stir brown or coconut sugar into Tahini
(to taste). Once sugar is absorbed, add baking powder
and salt. Lastly, stir in 2 large eggs.

 

The first recipe ingredients yield 30 large
cookies.

 

(They spread to almost double).

Ingredients for 30 nice size cookies
(See half recipe below this one)


1 cup (4 ¾ oz) whole ground Tahini

1/4 to 1/3 cup coconut sugar or brown or raw, to taste

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

Makes 30 large cookies.

(The second ingredients list below
yields 11-15 cookies).

My Personal ADD-INS:
6 dates chopped with 1/3 cup walnuts

When You want something spicy:
Add
2 tsp. ginger

1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1./4 tsp. nutmeg
1 extra tbs. dark brown sugar

OPTIONAL ADD-INS:
1/3 cup chopped raisins, dates, pistachios,
walnuts, or chocolate chips.
A tsp. of vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom,
or dissolved instant cappucino.

Ingredients for *11-15 large cookies

11-15 large cookies (They spread almost double)

½ cup (4 ¾ oz) whole Tahini

2 tbs. (2 oz) sugar (coconut or packed brown) 

1 large egg

½ teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

OPTIONAL ADD-INS:
2-3 Tbs. chopped raisins, dates, pistachios,
walnuts, or chocolate chips.
½ tsp of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom,
or dissolved instant cappuccino.

Use a fork to mix the tahini and brown sugar
together in a small bowl.

Stir in the baking powder until completely
incorporated.

Mix in the egg until batter is uniform, thick & smooth.

 

FOR MICROWAVE

Cover a 10 or 11 inch microwave-safe plate
with parchment.

Drop a teaspoon of batter on in a thick cookie shape
about 2″ in diameter and microwave 1 minute. Allow
to cool while repeating with remaining batter.


FOR OVEN
Or for crisper cookies place on cookie sheet
with parchment in 325°F oven about 20 minutes
or until uniformly browned, so they’re cooked inside.

They do puff up and expand to almost double.

I preferred these when just a little warm.
