Prepare two<br \/>\ndonut trays <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">by spraying with non-stick spray. Set aside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\nSift the flour into a mixing bowl.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Add the sugar, baking powder, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">salt,<br \/>\ncinnamon and nutmeg.<br \/>\nMix together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Add the almond milk, vanilla, applesauce and<br \/>\nmelted coconut oil.<br \/>\nWhisk in, removing any large lumps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Place the donut batter into a piping bag and pipe it into the<br \/>\ndonut partitions <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">evenly (cut a corner off a plastic bag),or use<br \/>\na spoon. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Bake for 15 minutes until lightly browned on top.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\nRemove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before<br \/>\ntransferring <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">the donuts to a wire cooling rack. Allow to cool<br \/>\ncompletely before doing <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">the topping.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">For real chocolate topping:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Melt 2-3 oz.chocolate in a microwave safe bowl<br \/>\nwith a tsp. of avocado or other oil and<br \/>\nheat in 30 second intervals.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Dip the donuts into the<br \/>\nmelted chocolate and then place onto<br \/>\na <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">parchment lined baking tray and use a teaspoon to<br \/>\nadd <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">sprinkles. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">When all the donuts are done, move the tray into the<br \/>\nfridge briefly <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">for the chocolate topping to set.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>For chocolate glaze topping:<br \/>\n<\/strong>You may adjust to taste and thickness<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Ingredients<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 to 2 cups powdered sugar <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1\/4 to 1\/3 cup cocoa powder <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">2 to 4 tbsp milk as needed<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 to 1-\u00bd tsp vanilla extract <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Instructions<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">In a large bowl, sift together powdered sugar with cocoa powder.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Add in 3 tbsp of the milk and whisk until a smooth mixture begins <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">to form. Continue adding milk by the tablespoon and whisking until <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">desired consistency is reached, then stir in the vanilla.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Glaze should fall from the whisk in thick ribbons and will run back <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">together in the bowl.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Use as desired to dip donuts or spread on other desserts. Glaze <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">crust should set in about 1 hour.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">How to store Chocolate Donut Glaze:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Leftover glaze can be stored at room temperature in an airtight <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">container for 4 days. Whisk again to smooth before using.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Notes<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Sifting the powdered sugar and cocoa until very fine (no lumps) <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">ensures a smoother icing.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">For dipping donuts: place icing in a shallow dish and dip donut <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">straight down, then lift above bowl and let excess icing drip off <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">before placing donut on a cooling rack to set. If using sprinkles, <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">dip in sprinkles directly after dipping in icing. Glaze should be thick <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">enough not to run into the sprinkles (or very little)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0+++++++++++++++<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">For the (optional) clear glaze:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 cup powdered sugar<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">2 to 4 teaspoons any milk or buttermilk<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\n<strong>For the (optional) coconut sugar coating:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">4 tablespoons coconut oil, melted<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1\/2 cup coconut sugar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>For the cinnamon sugar topping, <\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">add the sugar and cinnamon to a bowl and mix<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">together.
