font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\n<strong>You won&#8217;t taste the banana<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you want to be sure of that, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">add a teaspoon<br \/>\nof lemon juice, and use yellow bananas<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">instead of overripe brown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">There&#8217;s much nutritional evidence in favor of using<br \/>\nAlmond flour <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">for gluten-free baking <em>(Ground blanched almonds)<\/em><br \/>\ninstead of oat flour, due to less carb and more fiber.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Of course using more fiber and less carb is also<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">beneficial for diabetics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8703\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jmcutlery.com\/wiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/almond-flour-cake-3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\nAlmond flour works as a cup for cup replacement for<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">my oat flour recipes, though you should experiment<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">when it comes to adding tapioca flour for lightness.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Almond flour alone is quite heavy and may not rise as<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">high as it does when mixing it with 1\/3 tapioca flour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">INGREDIENTS <\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">FOR THE \u00a0ALMOND FLOUR BANANA CAKE:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">3 eggs, beaten until foamy&#8230;beat in<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">3 pureed bananas 1-1\/2 cups, If short use applesauce<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">3 Tbsp pure maple syrup<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 1\/2 tsp vanilla extract<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nOptional:<\/strong><br \/>\n(If including), stir in <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1\/2 cup Chocolate<br \/>\nchips or fruit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Stir in<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 tsp baking soda<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1\/2 tsp baking powder<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1\/4 tsp salt<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">2 cups (oat) or finely ground, blanched almond flour<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 cup arrowroot or tapioca.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">INSTRUCTIONS<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">to MAKE THE BANANA CAKE:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Grease an 8\u00d78\u2033 square\u00a0 or 9&#8243; round pan with nonstick<br \/>\nspray <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">(I like coconut oil spray) or a tiny bit of coconut oil.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Puree bananas until very smooth. The smoother<br \/>\nyou\u2019re able to blend your bananas, the better the<br \/>\ntexture of this cake.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Into the blender or food processor<br \/>\nAdd beaten eggs,<br \/>\nAdd syrup,<br \/>\nvanilla extract,<br \/>\nbaking soda,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">baking powder,<br \/>\nand salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Beat one minute.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Stir in 2 cups almond flour (blanched finely ground)\u00a0 and<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 cup arrowroot or tapioca.\u00a0Pulse until just combined.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\nStir in 1\/2 cup Chocolate chips or fruit,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Pour into your prepared pan. Smooth the surface with<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">a spatula.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong><br \/>\nBake at 350 degrees F. for 30-35 minutes,<\/strong> or until golden<br \/>\non top a<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">nd a toothpick inserted in the center comes out<br \/>\nclean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>You may need more baking time for an 8&#8243; cake<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">as it will be higher than a 9.&#8221;\u00a0 Keep an eye on it. It can<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">also burn if you\u2019re not watching.
